Hey there, I'm Lauren.

Pictured here you see my little family — my husband, Toby, who really helped me nurture my photography passion, and my daughter, Mila Reu, who gets photographed basically every day because we're all about capturing every moment with her. We live, eat, sleep and breathe photography and want to bring our passion to others! We've worked the retail jobs, the corporate jobs, the tough, frustrating, kick-your-butt jobs, and nothing puts a smile on my face more than knowing my true life's passion has manifested into my dream job — being with couples on one of the happiest days of their life!

I've been involved with photography for the past 12 years. I always try to capture the beauty in the natural world, uninterrupted, and I found my niche in wedding and branding photography when I began working alongside my husband. I immediately fell in love with shooting true, raw emotion — and getting to go through those photographs shortly after to relive them all.

When I'm photographing, I like to approach it as though I'm a fly on the wall — the not-so-noticeable, behind-the-scenes type (not the pesky fly you swat at!). I'll always arrive early, ready to go. I enjoy capturing behind-the-scenes, candid moments, as well as offering guidance throughout the day — easing into it since most people aren't super comfortable in front of the camera. I'm also really good at breaking the awkwardness with my bad one-liners, so no need to worry about any uncomfortable moments.

Once we've eased into some photos, I follow your timeline closely and make sure we're getting the most out of each moment — offering guidance without being intrusive or overbearing, with a tool belt of prompts to get real, genuine smiles and emotion. I'll take advantage of everywhere your location has to offer so you walk away with a plethora of photographs to enjoy for years to come.

Once our session is complete, I quickly start editing — every photo, by hand, by me, set to a similar style so your gallery flows seamlessly and tells one story. You can expect your online gallery within three weeks of your session.
